High School Catch-Up Sessions

Staying on top of assignments is critical for high school student success at Seabird Island Community School. That’s why the school has implemented HS Catch-Up Sessions to provide additional academic support. These sessions occur before classes start in the morning, during the lunch period, or after school dismissal. If a high school student starts falling behind on their coursework, it is the responsibility of the classroom teacher to arrange a catch-up session time for that student to come in and get caught up on outstanding assignments. With the guidance and one-on-one support of their teacher, students can use this time to focus solely on completing missing work and getting back on track. Teachers must ensure their students who require catch-up attend these sessions, as it allows for personalized intervention to fill any gaps before they widen further.
